We encourage all families to complete a free or reduced-price meal application, even if they are unsure whether they qualify. To apply for free or reduced-price meals, please complete the HISD School Nutrition Meal Application before September 22, 2026.
Why Should Every Family Complete the Meal Application?
Even if you know your family will not qualify for free or reduced-price meals, we still need your application!
Our goal is 100% completion, meaning we receive a response from every family. Completing the application helps our school maintain accurate records, meet important reporting requirements, and identify resources and funding that may support programs and opportunities for our students.
Remember: 100% completion does not mean 100% of families qualify. It simply means every family has completed the process.
Your participation helps us make sure our school has the most accurate information possible to advocate for the resources our students and school community need.
Please complete your application—even if you expect to be denied. Every response counts!
