HAIS Transportation Update

We are super excited to welcome your students on the first day of school, Monday, August 17, 2026.  I understand there are several families that are either waiting to hear from HISD Transportation or have received routing information and had concerns.  I have created a Bus Route At-A-Glance to assist families with finding their closest stop.  Students are allowed to ride the bus for the first two weeks of school even if they are not on the rosters.  After the first two weeks of school, they will no longer be able to ride unless they are on the official digital roster and receive a Smart Tag.  

If your stop is far from your home, please call the school to confirm the following: 

1. You have submitted an HISD Enrollment Survey (new students) or an HISD Family Update (returning students)

2. The address you submitted is correct in PowerSchool

The campus cannot make any requests for routing concerns.  The district asks that you visit the following links to submit a new transportation request or to submit a support request.  

• Transportation Request – New request or want to switch from HISD bus to Metro or Metro to HISD bus.
